Woman doing exerciseAt Parene Healthcare, our employees and volunteers are our best asset. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to properly deliver our services to the people who need them. As such, we endeavor to provide our employees with a safe, supportive work environment where their professional and personal progress is recognized; where they can flourish and grow; and where they can continue doing what they love to do. However, prior to hiring said employees, we also have a strict hiring process to ensure that we are hiring the best people possible.

We conduct the following to ensure that our employees remain safe and healthy:

  • Pre-Employment Screening
Prior to employment, all interested applicants are subjected to a rigorous hiring process. It involves thorough background and criminal checks, drug screenings, reference checks, license authentication, and personal interviews. This allows us to verify the identity and credentials of each person before working for us. This helps us minimize risks, reduce the turnover rate, and ensure a safer workplace.
  • Routine Screening
Our employees, medical personnel, and volunteers are often exposed to different conditions and health problems as they provide services to the residents of Sierra Leone. They often go to remote, disadvantaged areas that are often overridden with disease and illness. To keep them healthy and to find problems early-on, we conduct routine screening services.
  • Insurance Screening
Since we may travel to different areas to deliver our services, we make sure to check if our employees and volunteers have the appropriate travel insurance coverage. We do so to make sure that our employees are well covered in case of any emergencies.
  • Disease Management Care
We don’t just offer disease management care to the people we serve – we offer them to our employees too. Before going on any medical mission or some other project, we make sure that they have the proper vaccinations. We also teach them about proper sanitation and health techniques, and more.
